How to make your terrarium?

If you are into planting , you must know that creating a terrarium is a bit tricky. It is not same as planting in an ordinary pot. Let’s get started!

Choose a glass terrarium that has opening for the plants to breathe. The first thing you want to do is clean it. The terrarium needs to be perfectly clean, so any bacteria will not develop. Clean it with alcohol so you are sure it is clean.

Since terrariums do not have drainage holes, you have to put pebbles on the bottom. They will retain the excess water. Put a layer of pebbles before the soil. Choose a proper soil mix for the plants you will use.  Succulents are widely used in the making of terrariums. So, if you have chosen them make sure you choose the proper soil. Succulents do not stand much water, so they will need light soil that can drain fast.

Plant your chosen plants carefully. When you have done it, for additional decor add some of the pebbles on top of the soil. It will make your terrarium look layered.
